An Accountant helps businesses make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company’s finances. They are responsible for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year.

Job Responsibilities

• Monthly consolidation and analysis of the financials and advising client on key changes and areas of risk which require urgent attention.
• Planning, execution and reporting based on client request
• Preparing forecasts and budgets for the client
• Analysing the data received from contracts and liaising with finance teams across all Business Units to discuss observations, material variances arising from the data being analysed.
• Over-viewing monthly KPI results against set parameters
• Over viewing procurement spending at client’s site
• Coordinating with Group and preparing and submitting any / all information requested i.e. Treasury reports.
• Assistance in the collation of data for both external and internal Audits.
• Innovating new smart ways of improving necessary tasks
• Imparting skills and knowledge and forming back up of position..

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar commerce / business
• CA/CPA Preferred
• Detailed knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles
• Knowledge of SAP financial and accounting software applications
• Knowledge and experience of related computer applications including advanced excel skills
• Essential technical and professional skills and knowledge
• Ability to positively influence key stakeholders within the business
• Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
• Six Sigma certification is a preference (Yellow Belt/Green Belt/Black Belt)
