What You Will Be Doing

• Learning new technologies to evaluate their potential to simplify our infrastructure, improve availability and reduce costs
• Monitoring and maintaining cloud services, dockerized containers and databases
• Migrating non-standard components to our standardized infrastructure

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Focusing on a single product or being stuck with the same set of technologies
• Building customized infrastructure solutions that add complexity

Cloud Engineer Key Responsibilities

• Deliver standardized, high-availability, cost-optimized infrastructure
• Handle SaaS requests or incidents

Basic Requirements

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with Linux and AWS Services
• Ability to use infrastructure configuration management, deployment, and versioning tools
• Ability to deploy and configure infrastructure for virtual machines (VMWare) and to pack applications into containers and deploy them (Docker/Kubernetes)
• A university degree requiring an in-depth study of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, computer architecture, and software engineering OR equivalent experience

Working with Crossover

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover. The compensation level for this role is $30 USD/hour, which equates to $60,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
