Overview / Responsibilities
Wood is currently seeking to recruit Design Process Engineer to execute Process Discipline engineering activities under the direction of a Lead or Senior Engineer. Work under the supervision of senior engineers to ensure that asset or project discipline engineering activities are executed within budget and schedule, while maintaining technical integrity.
Responsibilities
- Execute Basic & FEED activities for the assigned projects.
- Preparation of BFD, PFD, UFD, DPDT and P&ID’s for the assigned projects.
- Performing hydraulic calculation for all the process and utility lines and pump network.
- Performing Vessel and Tank sizing calculation.
- Performing PSV sizing, inlet, and outlet line sizing.
- Performing Emergency depressurization / blowdown calculation.
- Performing Flare header sizing.
- Performing Control valve sizing
- Performing design/rating for heat exchanger.
- Should have knowledge about HAZID, HAZOP and SIL activities.
- Performing the calculation for Utility system (Steam, Plant Air, Instrument Air System)
- Preparation of cause and effect diagram.
- Work as part of a team by supporting each other and sharing the workload to finish the project on schedule.
- Maintain the required technical quality of work.
- Maintain the discipline filing system.
- Maintain good communication with lead and other teammates and with client (in absence of lead)
- Assisting the lead to prepare Project Management Plan.
- Assist with data collection / retrieval site related activities as required by SE/LE.
- Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract.
- Carry out work in accordance with Wood and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality systems.
- Execute engineering activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Study & Detailed Design)
- Maintain the required technical quality of work.
- Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.
- Provide planning and cost control on all scopes as required.
- Ensure that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures.
- Ensure, as far as is practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budget and schedule.
- Develop awareness of technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirements related to the discipline scope.
Skills / Qualifications
BSc Engineering plus 10 years total experience, 8 years refinery/petrochemical Experience, plus 4 years in related designation
Good written and verbal communication skills
Leadership and teambuilding skills
Good HSE awareness and commitment
