Affinity Power and Control in Jordan is looking for a detail-oriented and hardworking Electrical Design and drafting Engineer to join our Design team. This position is an in-person position with no remote work available.

Responsibilities

-Create solar photovoltaic system layouts in AutoCAD.

-Use AutoCAD 2D software and custom software tools to design commercial photovoltaic ground mount, carport, and rooftop systems (complete electrical and structural designs for photovoltaic projects).

-Progress towards the understanding of full project plan sets.

-Develop detailed drawings of system components for construction and installation.

-Communicate with structural engineers, electrical engineers, and electricians to ensure drawings accurately represent system design requirements.

-Revise drawings as needed throughout the development and construction phases.

-Ensure system drawings meet standard and local requirements

Requirements:

-Excellent AutoCAD skills. Ability to set up and manage drawings, X-reference, blocks, etc;

-Should have excellent communication skills.

-Excellent ability to communicate among construction, technical and non-technical personnel, both internally and outside the company

-Must have a Prior Drafting experience in AutoCAD required

-Minimum (1) year of practical experience in a drafting position

-Experience in shop drawings

-Ability to read measurements and plans

-Ability to communicate orally and in writing

-Knowledge of Electrical or Structural design (useful but not necessary)

-Knowledge of MS Office

-Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat

-Exceptional attention to detail & ability to work independently

-Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong work ethic

-Problem-solving skills and the ability to multitask are key
