2. JOB PURPOSE – State briefly (in one or two sentences) the overall purpose of the position:

  • Compliance – IT DataCenter & Cloud Engineer is responsible to maintain, upgrade and manage Hikma GxP domain software and hardware. Include servers, applications related to GxP compliance domain, laboratory, and main plants applications.
  • He/she should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly, also have the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users and will be responsible for all related documentation.

  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues for Hikma server infrastructure.
  • Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
  • Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution
  • Administrate infrastructure, including Servers, Storage, Hyvervisor, laboratory and main plant applications.
  • Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly
  • Maintain the compliance domain system, logging all incidents and requests, their acknowledgements and their resolutions and ensuring that all support tickets are handled effectively and expeditiously.
  • To handle all Software support request for GxP Software related to Account Management in timely manner.
  • To Perform daily/weekly/monthly & yearly GxP domain checklist to keep the system Audit ready include software Authority Annual Access Review, Preventive maintenance, Archive & Backup validation, system high availability procedure test….
  • To manage backups of all systems ensuring that they run successfully and to manage rotation of backups off-site for safe storage. Verify backup data.
  • To update systems and servers regularly with approved software updates.
  • To monitor system & server logs, following up on any security or performance issues.
  • To establish and maintain good working relationships with, colleagues, end users and other professionals (e.g., suppliers and software developers).
  • Identify and suggest possible improvements in procedures, resources and technologies. To test and evaluate new technology.
  • Preform all duties and responsibilities in line with current security & change control procedures.
  • Maintain focus on data security, following compliance requirements, Hikma’s policies, and the environment best practices.
  • Create/Execute daily/weekly/monthly check list to monitor systems performance.

6. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS – Please ensure that the minimum requirements are the ones essential for undertaking the role:


  • B.Sc. Degree in Computer Related Majors
  • Sufficiently IT literate to make effective use of the applications and systems required to be an effective System Administrator Specialist.
  • Preferred certificates/training:
    • ITIL Foundation Certified
    • MCTS Windows Server Administration
    • MCTS Active Directory Administration.
    • CCNA.
    • MCTS Microsoft Hyber-V Administration.
    • 21 CFR-11


  • 3-4 years of System Administration experience in fast-paced environment with diverse systems and technologies. Include Microsoft Hyber-V and Active Directory.


  • Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Utilizes knowledge of application/ software components and parameters, routine maintenance requirements, principles of troubleshooting procedures and relevant standards and specifications to analyse common issues and problems, as well as provide adequate resolution accordingly
  • Hardware Management: Understands the organizational IT plan and hardware requirements, schedules regular preventive maintenance and provides constant user support, and addresses breakdowns immediately
  • English Language: Able to communicate clearly and concisely with appropriate use of vocabulary, listens and gets clarifications and responds well to questions
  • Documenting/ Recording Information: Applying and using various techniques in documenting and recording information in written or electronic/magnetic formats
  • Learning: Continuously seeks to develop themselves and broaden knowledge and skills
  • Initiative: Makes suggestions; offering potential solutions when identifying a problem, independently seeks new opportunities and learns new skills
