The VP for Health Sciences office is the Senior Vice President for USF Health administrative unit, as well as the office of the Dean of the Morsani College of Medicine. This position would sits in the office of the USF Health Chief Financial Officer, and supports both the CFO as well as the Assist. VP for USF Health Budget.
USF Health is the partnership of the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine, College of Nursing, College of Public Health, Taneja College of Pharmacy, School of Biomedical Sciences, and School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitative Sciences, as well as the USF Health Physician Practice Plan. USF Health is an integral part of the University of South Florida, a high-impact, global research university dedicated to student success.
This position reports through the USF Health Deputy Chief of Staff, directly to the USF Health CFO for daily assignments. The essence of this position is confidential, executive administrative support to maximize the effectiveness of the CFO by fulfilling the administrative and communications requirements of the office and assistance of the CFO’s office day-to-day operations. This position is part of the larger USF Health, Senior Vice President’s Office as such is expected to work collaboratively to work as a member of the office support team. The incumbent must be able to make independent decision, anticipate the needs of the CFO and others, be highly skilled in interpersonal relations, have mature judgment and exercise a great deal of discretion due to the confidential and highly sensitive nature of the information/material handled daily.
Provides executive level administrative support to the CFO and AVP for USF Health Budget. Serve as the primary point of contact for colleges, units, and main campus offices to concerning the CFO office. Independently reviews forms and supporting documents and ensures accuracy of data and responds to requests for data from the university and USF Health offices.
Coordinates multiple tasks and data collection to ensure timely completion of assigned projects. Research and collect data within appropriate deadlines, disseminate information for editing and compilation of final products.
Coordinate special events with internal and external vendors when hosting or assisting with meetings involving the office. This includes initiating communication to departments, faculty, and staff.
Serves as a 2nd layer of support for other needs that arise in the Office of the Senior Vice President. Engages in cross training for office redundancy.
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least six years of experience in an office or administrative support position.
Experience with purchasing and budgeting. Working knowledge of USF and UMSA policies and procedures. Experience working in a Health environment as high level administrative support. Experience working at USF Health in an administrative support position. Previous experience organizing and managing events and large meetings.
