You will be working as a Field Service Engineer and will be the part of Electrification Business Area for Smart Power Division located in Dubai, UAE. In this role you will be responsible to ensure the service portfolio is delivered effectively according to ABB standard processes and safety guidelines to satisfy customers. Proactively communicate both with the customer and ABB sales teams to ensure customer needs are understood and business opportunities utilized for service growth.

Regional Sales Manager in GMS

Your responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits, monitor schedules, and supervise technicians.
  • Run field operations, offer technical support, and troubleshoot on-site issues. Ensure on-site efficiency and safety at all times.
  • Analyze data, monitor expenditure, and draft progress reports. Oversee equipment testing, maintenance, installation, and planning.
  • Mitigate risk, ensure compliance, and evaluate environmental impact. Direct staff, contractors, engineers, and other on-site personnel.
  • Support the pre-sales activity and after sales (Spare parts), customers remotely to solve the technical issues encountered on site.
  • Draft and submit reports to Area Sales manager and other key individuals.

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a field-related role.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills backed by solid technical knowledge.
  • A versatile and service-oriented mindset, good understanding of safety guidelines.
  • Technically savvy and computer literate, strong multitasking abilities, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks in a timely manner.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
