The position

The Company is currently under a strong growth program and looking to enhance and enlarge its team of Full Stack Developers. We are on the lookout for highly proficient developers well-versed with the latest backend, frontend and server-side tools out there. The individuals will be responsible for the entire product life-cycle from conception to deployment of enterprise cloud software for different energy applications, interfacing with other developers and stakeholders to ensure products meet functional and performance requirements.

Qualifications and experience I

Responsibilities:
* Brainstorming ideas for application development
* Planning and executing software development sprints
* Developing backend/frontend interfaces for cloud applications
* Provisioning server-side infrastructure to host cloud applications
* Utilizing cloud service orchestration tools to host applications
* Creating and operating relational/non-relational databases
* Interfacing with operational teams to address technical requirements

Qualifications and experience II

Required Skills:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. MSc would be a plus
* Fluency in Python 3.x
* Fluency in version control frameworks i.e. GitHub, GitLab
* Proficiency in relational databases i.e. MySQL, SQLite
* Familiarity with non-relational databases i.e. MongoDB, Cosmos DB
* Familiarity with cloud orchestration tools i.e. Azure, AWS, GCP
* Familiarity with frontend tools i.e. PyQT, Streamlit
* Familiar with CI/CD, ETL and agile development
* Experienced in project management tools i.e. Jira
* Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
* Impeccable written, verbal and organizational skills

Qualifications and experience III

Preferred Additional Skills:
* Experience with JavaScript
* Experience with HTML/CSS
* Experience with frontend tools i.e. Django/Flask
* Knowledge of time-series databases i.e. InfluxDB
* Knowledge of RESTful API’s
* Experience with Big Data
* Exposure to AI/ML

Years of experience

* Both junior (3-5 years of relevant work experience) and senior (more than 5 years’ experience) will be considered in the selection process

Preference will be given to local candidates with a valid and transferable residency permit; provisions may be made for others if deemed necessary. This is a permanent full-time role based in the Qatar Science & Technology Park.
