PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Leading the infrastructure and operations of the company’s Information Systems (IS) and Information Technologies (IT) within the allocated Budget and give recommendations to stakeholders for the continuous improvement of IS and IT operations.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Applications:

• Leads and facilitates the operations and development of the ERP application on Oracle cloud.
• Understands business models and operations to ensure implementing, upgrading or maintaining the best applications solutions.
• Recommends best practices and trends to business departments to ensure highest possible efficiency.
• Ensures smooth business flow by leading the roll-out of new software applications.
• Leads the troubleshooting and resolution of any problems with business application softwares.
• Manages the Creation, execution, and maintenance of corporate databases.
• Implements and maintains the highest possible control and backup of database as required.
• Set information security system/practices to protect Alsafwa data and information property.
• Creating and overseeing protocols and procedures for the use of software applications.
• Managing local area networks, installing and maintaining routers, generating email addresses, and creating passwords and backups.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of the latest software developments and business practices.

IT Infrastructure:

• Accountable for smooth functioning of IT operations at all company sites.
• Manages the Network Connectivity uptime external and internal (STC ISP, WAN, LAN) for enabling the users to carry out business transactions and communications smoothly.
• Manages all IT systems – Critical Servers of ERP/CSM, Exchange, Domain Controllers, Websense/ISI proxy, Major Cisco Network Components to ensure uninterrupted business activity.
• Manages the implementation of IS and IT Policies to ensure hardware, network, software, security policies are adhered to the company’s interest.
• Defines user rights for all applications maintained in the Data Center / Network so that any unauthorized access is prevented.
• Facilitates IS/IT Audits as per schedule.
• Preparation, execution, and control of IT Budget .
• Controls the IT inventory efficiently and effectively with proper cost and budget control.
• Ensures that all the Hardware and Software procured are within Budget and as per the policy in coordination with Procurement and any other relative department.
• Maintain documentation of contracts and business records as per Industry standards.
• Keep track of efficiency and scope of improvement through monthly achievements and Operation status reports (Help Desk, Server and Network availability, Backup Reports, etc).
• Analyzes and Monitors IT Hardware vendors so that proper ratings are maintained as per the company standards.
• Implements and monitors HSE recommendations for IT infrastructure to ensure data centre health, safety and environment.
• Supports all business departments towards the achievement of the corporate strategy and objectives by recommending and implementing the industry’s best practices of IS and IT.

Function and Team:

• Ensures understanding of corporate strategy, business priorities, Policies and procedures by all team members.
• Set and communicate clear KPI’s and Objectives, based on which the performance of IS and IT functions will be measured.
• Coaches and Mentors assigned team members on the technology aligned to the business needs of the organization
• Ensuring highest efficiency by organizing and facilitating needed trainings to team members and/or stakeholders for better productivity or when a new system is implemented.

Education:

• Minimum bachelor degree in Computer Engineering or related field.
• MBA is a plus.
• Certified PMP is a plus.

Experience:

• 10 – 15 years of experience in Business Application, Information Technology and Information Systems.

Job Specific:

• Broad working knowledge of computer networking, installation, and administration.
• Experience with database management and project management.

• Exposure on Oracle implementation, and CISCO system.
