Job primary location to be based in any of the 3 Business areas within Africa Middle East, Moroco / Jordon / Kenya / Egypt / Turkey / Zambia / South Africa …


  • Drive value maximization of the insecticide portfolio including bioinsecticides in the Northern AME BAs (Turkey, Middle East, Maghreb)
  • Bring innovations that rejuvenate the BAs insecticide portfolio and defend, drive future growth through NPI launches, portfolio defense and re/positioning
  • Ensure integrity of the AME insecticide portfolio/ LTO through active engagement with the Stewardship teams and identifying the right mitigation portfolio, steps to win in the advent of LTO impact per BA
  • Ensure consistency of insecticide portfolio decisions across the Business Unit and Business Areas (BA)
  • Deliver increased innovation to growers through attractive insecticide portfolio offers incorporating various services including digital Product +, Agronomical Advisory Services, Spray Services, etc.
  • Managing and leading selected insecticide active ingredients in the BU – in positioning, development, launches, value pricing, post patent strategy, business and profitability delivery, etc.


  • Drive insecticides portfolio decisions across the Business Areas (BAs) including all aspects of product life cycle management for formulations (innovation through to phase-out)
  • With the support of CPD, Regulatory, evaluate insecticides portfolio performance and identify critical gaps in the BA’s and BU key SMSs, that need to be, whilst also collaborating with the mid-tier and 3rd party teams, to access the right portfolio that can fit/fill the identified gap.
  • Define, monitor & regularly review SMS performance, assess risks and opportunities and initiate actions as needed, including the plans to address LTO risk (mitigate challenges, capture opportunities from competition, appropriate and timely gap filing strategies/solutions)
  • Train and be the key point of contact for the respective Northern AME Hemisphere BAs SFDC Project Planner Champions to ensure understanding and ability to input data and use of the tool
  • Federate insecticides business cases across BA/BU for potential new products/formulations projects
  • Ensure seamless connection between CPD, Regulatory and P&S to deliver on time and in full on insecticides portfolio projects
  • Maximize on our insecticide’s portfolio through driving of the portfolio definition and implementation of strong post patent strategies on key brands, active ingredients across the BA’s, BU
  • Drive creation and implementation of the brand plans & strategies, launches and positioning ensuring consistency across the BU
  • Together with the pricing team, ensure insecticides value maximization across the BAs by providing annual pricing guidance to Countries, BA’s, monitor net prices & deviations from budget, provide insight, challenge and initiate actions
  • Contribute in the various BAs insecticides portfolio decision platforms: Technical Result Meeting, Business Area Portfolio Meetings, BU Portfolio Team meetings
  • Lead annual Territory Portfolio Review (TPR) process for designated insecticides SMSs: Define grower needs, portfolio gaps, 3rd Party targets; Agree portfolio plans with Global Product Management; Track projects and assess business impact against the committed 5-Year Business Plan; Provide guidance to BAs to align local LEX/FEX projects and local 3rd party distribution with the SMS plans
  • Influence successful NPIs introduction, in the BAs, by working with Global and Region teams to support process, drive teamwork, planning and adherence to brand guidelines, monitoring results, documenting and sharing good practice learnings



Critical experience and knowledge

  • Agronomic background with at least 5-years CPD/technical and or sales & marketing management, often customer facing, preferably in diverse countries, in strategic and operational roles
  • Crop agronomy expertise as well good knowledge on biocontrols, CP Products
  • Strong people management, influencing and leadership skills
  • Language skills – must have excellent language skills, English being the key communication language.
  • Key project management skills; strong understanding of customer needs, structure and business drivers
  • Marketing and Business, commercial acumen/understanding
  • Ability to build partnerships

  • Supporting and closely following up on NPI developemnt and launches in the BAs – NPI checklist, LP input, value pricing, etc
  • Preparing and presenting the insecticides portfolio strategy in the 2023 AME CP Portfolio Round, TPR, TRM, TPT meetings
  • Identifying the key insecticide portfolio gaps as well as potential gap fillers while supporting the development of the identified solutions in selected crops, BAs
  • Review, challenge, support the countries, BA’s in I-Plan input, use of the data in their BC development, campaigns management, execution as well as market share defense, growth in the key insecticides segments
