Be part of our Customer Services team as an IT Specialist – Database in Dubai, UAE.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Maintain Oracle Databases, including SQL Server and no-SQL Database.
  • Maintain, monitor, and rectify issues in Oracle RAC Databases.
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions.
  • Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses.
  • Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
  • Continuous Improvement thinking by reviewing and assessing the current processes.
  • Make use of collaborative tools like JIRA and Confluence.

What do I need to qualify for the role?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in managing Oracle Databases, ideally in the field of the automation technology environment.
  • Excellent data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and PL/SQL knowledge.
  • Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding.
  • Hands-on experience with database standards and end-user applications.
  • Experience with RHEL and Windows Server Operating Systems.
  • Knowledge about Virtualization technologies and VMware is a plus.
  • Any IT certification in related technologies will be an advantage.
  • Able to work in shift patterns and handle shift duty individually & work under pressure.
  • Understanding of Baggage Handling System material flow is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Good organization, time management, and prioritization.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate openly and effectively on all levels across the team, internally and externally.
