Responsible for the management of activities within the engineering department, ensuring the standards and objectives of the department are implemented and maintained in equipment operation, staff management, and product quality to meet and exceed guest expectations.What will I be doing?
- Conduct applicant screening and interviews for Engineering positions.
- Make recommendations as to hiring, advancement, discipline and promotion
- Assist the department head for in budgeting, procurement, capital projects.
- Prepare and plan the schedule maintenance for all plant rooms or electrical, mechanical, civil, extra low voltage, By following the manufacturing guidelines, and third-party contractors visit.
- Inspect and maintain the hotel fire and life safety equipment’s, while ensure hotel assets and employee safety as high priority.
- Verify and inspect the hotel plant rooms time to time, check the daily plant rooms logs.
- Priorities the work schedule based on day to day maintenance request.
- Ensures the directives and standards are followed and maintained within department.
- Staff training, assignments and supervision.
- Ensures quality performance in staff assignments.
- Ensures building code and quality standards at departmental and interdepartmental levels.
- Monitors equipment and special preventative maintenance standards to ensure quality product.
- Inspect guestrooms, public space and back of the house for areas to repair, touch up or replace.
- Repairs, or replace the building, pump rooms, interior, exterior area as required on day to day.
- Assists other department team members in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program.
- Makes records of repairs made, or areas needing further attention.
- Coordinate and supervise with the third party contractors works in terms quality and quantities.
- Develop and motivate the team members.
- Makes records of repairs made, or areas needing further attention.
- Focus on more energy saving best practice, and sustainability.
- Maintain the engineering material storage, engineering workshops.
- Monitor the daily the utility reading data, submission of monthly utility data in to LightStay, and finance team.
