Network Engineer – Saudi Arabia

Description

  • Works as an on-site operational resource, typically as part of a team, to provide product specific expertise in support of the customer’s operational or engineering requirements.
  • Works closely with customer and Juniper Technical Assistance Center to resolve issues.
  • Acts as a change management engineer for Juniper Networks support and development teams.
  • Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Maintains a professional knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Has a good experience, product-specific knowledge, and expertise.
  • Uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
  • Monitor all NMS tools used for network monitoring and act accordingly.
  • Maintain all networks KPIs & SLAs overall.
  • Support in troubleshooting different network architectures consisting mainly of Juniper Networks
  • Build and support Layer-2/Layer-3 VPN services based on MPLS core infrastructure.
  • Implement and support MPLS infrastructure using both LDP and RSVP signaling protocols, including extensive support for traffic engineering and protection.
  • Implement various BGP scenarios to control and influence routing exchange with both national and international carriers.
  • Report any abnormality or problems in the network.
  • Prepare a daily, weekly & monthly data reports.
  • Handling customer complaints.
  • Work with an operation managers, leaders, teams and other professional services consultants providing industry leading technical services.
  • Understand the customers’ organizational structure and become familiar with the network implementation
  • Follow the MSP process and procedures.
  • Transfer knowledge to other team’s members.

SUPERVISION

  • Receives technical direction from multiple contributors.
  • Exercises a degree of creativity and latitude.

Position Requirements

  • Nationality :Saudi
  • Bachelor’s degree in (Networking, Telecommunication, Computer, Programming) Engineering or equivalent.
  • Certification: Preferred JNCIE/P
  • Number of experienced years: +5
  • Located on-site with the customer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
  • Work on 24/7 shifts that include Mornings/evenings/Nights.
  • Work with an operation manager/team leader and other professional services consultants providing industry leading technical services to both the customer and partner
  • Understand the customer’s organizational structure and become familiar with the network implementation, support processes and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and network problems and to track JTAC critical (P1/P2) cases through to problem resolution.
  • Produce a written summary report of the status of equipment and network problems on a regular basis to the customer.
  • Develop secondary skills in other products in the Juniper product portfolio.
  • Has a good implementation skills and experience
  • Aware about the project management lifecycle
  • Developed excellent skills in reviewing design and implementation documents.
  • The ideal candidate for this role should be able to demonstrate most of following skills:
    • Professional knowledge of Routing Protocols, Switching Networks & hands on troubleshooting of networks.
    • Professional knowledge of IPSEC VPN, Security technologies, NAT/PAT, DDOS, Security filter
    • Describe, configure, and monitor zones, security policies and firewall user authentication.
    • Configure and monitor IDP policy with policy templates.
    • Understanding security policies utilizing ALGs, custom applications, and dynamic addressing for various scenarios.
    • Understanding static, source, destination, and dual NAT in complex LAN environments.
    • Understanding persistent NAT, Carrier Grade NAT (CGN) solutions for IPv6 NAT, such as NAT64, NAT46, and DS-Lite.
    • Differentiate and configure standard point-to-point IP Security (IPsec) virtual private network (VPN) tunnels, hub-and-spoke VPNs, dynamic VPNs, and group VPNs.
    • Professional knowledge of Juniper Networks SRX and NetScreen
    • Strong scripting and automation skills
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong presentation skills.
    • Time management skills.
    • English language is a must.
    • Able to work under high pressure.
    • On-call support for critical issues (if required).
    • Work on 24/7 shifts that include Mornings/Evenings/Nights duties.
