Purpose of the Job

To develop commercial pricing strategies for a portfolio of products across targeted customers and market segments including the ongoing analysis of pricing of all services and development of strategies, concepts, approaches and processes to address findings and tap into pricing related opportunities.

The pricing manager will work with all levels of the organization to ensure the maximization of sales and profitability while adhering to the pricing policy is followed.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze global market trends & benchmark against competitor pricing strategies
  • Work with the sales and marketing teams to define pricing structure for company products
  • Create pricing policy, recommend changes in pricing structure/methodology, and apply consistent processes and operating procedures to implement pricing changes and gain maximum efficiencies.
  • Develop tools to analyze financial information: profitability ratios, pricing models
  • Draft strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing models
  • Analyze pricing data from industry standards, previous sales trends and competitors and report data to decision-makers
  • Provide performance analysis of pricing initiatives at the service and account level.
  • Coordinate with regional directors to implement all price changes on products and services and evaluate its effectiveness.
  • Manage the Annual Price Alignment project and implementation
  • Analyze and forecast Fuel spot rates and send recommendation strategies to management
  • Build pricing models and analyze market price competitiveness for Franchise offices
  • Build regional offers for new clients across the network, based on optimal routing and minimum cost objectives
  • Support stations when faced with challenges and provide business solutions when needed
  • Provide training to stations/agents on how to use Aramex’s Financial & CRM databases
  • Address issues and concerns raised by team members relating to pricing suggestions
  • Manage all auditable records for contract changes.
  • Assist commercial organization in uploading contract changes.
  • Develop and implement tools, procedures, and best practices to improve pricing and overall governance processes.
  • To strongly enforce ‘process compliance’ in line with governance policies by sales teams.
  • Perform financial analysis for specific customer opportunities that fall outside of pricing policy.
  • Fix pricing-related business issues, and drive excellence in pricing at a global level
  • Manage and deliver ad-hoc analysis to key stakeholders in a timely fashion.

Job Requirements

  • Must have experience working in a matrix environment and senior level analytical experience
  • Minimum 2-4 years related work experience
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Sales Management, Sales Operations, or Commercial Finance
  • Proven track record of attaining organizational and personal objectives – Results Oriented
  • Able to travel as needed
  • Strong work ethic and Customer Centric mindset
  • Adaptable, strong team player with outstanding communication skills and ability to work with all functional areas (Cross Functional Relationship Management)
  • Proficient in working with Global and local leaders to develop short and long-term goals that are specific to our commercial organization – Results Oriented
  • Strong Negotiation Skills, incorporating various strategies and desired outcomes
  • Ability to influence all customers (both internal and external) on issues that impact the business
  • Strong Business Acumen and Industry Knowledge
  • Proficiency in the usage Microsoft office and other tools, to deliver key accountabilities
  • Proficiency in using Excel.
  • Able to identify and challenge ways of working that impact efficient performance delivery and influence stakeholders to initiate changes
  • High level of credibility and ability to deal with sensitive information
  • Able to develop strong relationships with business stakeholders and work flexibly with them to understand and drive business performance.
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Bachelors degree in any related field
