The Role

The Safety Engineer will be responsible to take care of all hygiene and occupational health & safety issues within the hotel, ensuring a smooth operation and therefore contribute to maximizing guest satisfaction consistent with Hyatt International standards, through planning, organizing, directing, and controlling

As Safety Engineer, you will be reporting directly to Assistant Director of Engineering and below are some of the key responsibilities:

• Have a full working knowledge of all hygiene and occupational health & safety regulations in Jordan, according to Greater Amman Municipality standards.
• Work closely with the kitchen and stewarding department to ensure adherence to the standards.
• Liaise with the Security Department on occupational safety issues.
• Assist keeping of Occupational Health Cards for associates in food related departments.
• Liaise on regular basis with the Greater Amman Municipality, and keep good relation with authorities and inspectors

Qualifications

• 2-4 Years Work Experience in Safety Field, Hospitality or Contracting, familiar with local standard, certified safety officer is plus, college or university degree.
