Role Purpose:

  • Design, manage and implement specific projects aiming at driving process change in risk management
  • Design and develop an analytical framework (i.e. collate, compile, update, maintain & analyze information and data) and address reporting requirements by designing tailor-made reports and analyses
  • Translate Group-wide directions, framework and annual ERM objectives into OpCO and BU level activities with clear priorities
  • Ensure that agreed quarterly roadmap deliverables are completed on time, issues escalated to and solved together with the respective Business Unit Lead
  • Work closely with all Three Lines of Defense to ensure risk awareness, analysis and assurance. Support the acquisition and implementation of a fit-for-purpose technology solution for improved risk (decision) insight and process automation.
  • Act as a coach to Business Units key persons on risk management good practice and facilitate workshops and hold trainings as needed to ensure appropriate knowledge exchange.
  • Design and manage the center of excellence communication and training framework in an effort to increase the visibility and reach to Business Units whilst increasing awareness to risk management & engaging stakeholders
  • Drive efficiency and effectiveness throughout the business by fostering best practice in risk management, improving the internal control environment and building resilience through business continuity management
  • Address all insurance-related, compliance-related & business continuity management-related analytical & reporting requirements
  • Be a point of contact and direct support for all Business Units, third parties and business partners with risk management queries

· Provide effective support to the Risk & Compliance Director in implementing the risk management framework, addressing analytical & reporting requirements

Role Details – Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

A. Enterprise Risk Management Framework

· Implementation of ERM roadmap across businesses and functions within LEC

  • Development and update of ERM Policies and Procedures in line with Group ERM guidance
  • Map data sources for risk insights internally and externally
  • Facilitate testing and debate of strategic assumptions

· Analyze causes and effects using Bow Tie analysis

  • Perform control and assurance mapping
  • Manage common library (register) of assumptions, risks and risk responses
  • Establish Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and integrated reporting dashboards with KPIs
  • Facilitate workshops, drive desired risk culture and collect critical risk insights corporate-wide
  • Manage ERM development projects
  • Coordinate technology implementation projects
  • Coordinate annual ERM maturity self-assessments
  • Work with IA on risk-based annual audit planning and linking audit observations to risk universe
  • Provide training and coaching on ERM

· Support the delivery of risk assessment workshops as well as their evaluation, implementation progress and reporting to both Senior Management and the Board

· Provide all Business Units and Senior Management teams with regular sets of reports and analysis on all Risk Management initiatives as and when required

· Coordinate mitigation planning and business continuity planning

B. Center of excellence communication and training framework

· Design, drive and manage a communication and training framework across all Business Units

· Develop and manage the communication process across multiple channels whilst engaging stakeholders throughout all businesses (i.e. planning, drafting, issuance and review of all communication materials as per the framework)

· Develop and manage the training framework whilst leveraging existing resources and capability (i.e. identification of training requirements and target audience, development of training content when required and delivery to targeted audience)

· Deliver risk management workshops and hold trainings as needed to ensure appropriate knowledge exchange

C. Business Continuity Management

· Manage all business continuity management-related analytical queries (business impact analysis, reviews …)

· Support the delivery of tests, simulation exercises

· Support the delivery of trainings, awareness sessions / workshops

D. Insurance

· Support the recovery of losses through the effective management of all insurance claims

· Manage all insurance-related analytical queries (risk exposure, claim analysis, portfolio reviews …)

· Support the delivery of trainings, awareness sessions / workshops

E. Compliance

· Manage all compliance-related analytical queries (projects, cases, reporting, reviews…)

· Support the implementation, delivery, monitoring, analysis & reporting of key compliance initiatives and projects throughout the year

· Support the delivery of trainings, awareness sessions / workshops

Financial KPI’s / Measure of success

  • Risk analysis, reporting & assurance for the whole LEC asset portfolio & business exposure
  • Lead for Enterprise Risk Management projects & initiatives implementation & analysis
  • Increased awareness on Risk Management through a successfully driven center of excellence communication and training framework with positive feedback received from internal customers

Minimum experience

  • Enterprise Risk Management experience of minimum four years
  • Business Continuity experience of minimum four years

Minimum Qualifications/education

· Bachelor’s degree in Administration and Business, Risk Management, Business Continuity or similar discipline.
