You will be working as Service Engineer, will be the part of Motion Business Area for Drive Products division based in Amman, Jordan. In this role you will abide with ABB HSE and integrity regulations with zero tolerance, ensuring compliance with group health, safety and environmental directives, ensuring instructions and regulations are implemented well within the team (including subcontractors), while monitoring and reporting progress and results, assessing risks and safety hazards and implementing actions to ensure people and equipment safety.

Your responsibilities
- Contributing to higher customer satisfaction by ensuring high complex service work according to customer expectations, interacting with customer to provide customized solutions, creating and maintaining excellent relationship with customers and molds their needs, creating new sales opportunities and taking influence in convincing the client for the complete service portfolio
- Performing medium to high complex service tasks like installation, commissioning, maintenance, upgrades and retrofits, repair independently, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in different service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, extensions, replacements, upgrades and retrofit, end of life service etc.)
- Performing remote and on-site service activities for MODR and/or systems in accordance with customer requirements, ensuring timely, cost-effective solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures, and safety guidelines, diagnosing technical problems, determining corrective actions and repairing MODR systems via remote or on-site service
- Assessing technical issues to determine if on-site assistance is required, performing all on- site activities in accordance with ABB procedures and safety requirements, solving hardware and software functional compatibility issues and problems found during service intervention and replaces faulty hardware or software items involved
- Providing assistance via service calls during and after hours as necessary, performing remote service assistance using remote connection and diagnostics tools, obtaining acknowledgement from the customer regarding the completed tasks and detailed activities performed to solve the customer problem, acting as the project technical leader in the service project by analyzing the project requirements and clarifying the project scope
- Ensuring the coordination of the other internal and external technicians and assigning them specific tasks related to service needs, keeping management informed of service missions/projects progress and any problems that arise (technical issues, manpower, contractual delays, etc.)
- Ensuring the planning and execution of assigned service activities carried out in house and on site, monitoring progress and long-term delivery, ensuring maintenance service project execution with respect to the agreed terms of schedule, quality, cost, margin, and customer satisfaction, ensuring quality of services delivery in line with allocated cost and man hours
- Building trustworthy relationship with customers to triggers new service opportunities for the sale team, triggering service sales opportunities to the sales team, technically support during offering when requested and attending to tasks assigned by Local Business Manager and fruitful and professional communication with customers
- Engaging and coordinating with HUB service operations manager for required trainings, supporting and mentoring of service tasks, being open to learning and attending to service tasks related to motors and any other Motion portfolio and ensuring completion of certification or development plans prepared.
Your background
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in industrial background and technical drives service
- Computer skills in Microsoft office (mainly Word, excel & power point)
- Should have teamwork / spirit, ability to learn and work hard for certification and development
- Should be able to work under pressure for long durations with maximum / effective output
- Fluency in English language is mandatory
