You will be working as Service Engineer, will be the part of Process Automation Business Area for Measurement & Analytics division based Doha, Qatar. In this role you will be maintaining cordial relationship with customers and be an enabler to generate sales enquiries and have to be ready to travel within the region and globally if required for service needs, undertaking training assignments for customer and channel partners as needed

Your responsibilities

  • Performing the after sales site execution function at local level, with full accountability of running the day-to- day operation and to over achieving customer expectations through lean, faultless operational execution (Care, Customer, Cost, Cash) in an extended value chain and at the lowest total cost
  • Owning and delivering local division / site-level RELEX KPIs in line with ABB expectations, accountable for ensuring compliance with global and local standards, rules, policies and procedures related to after sales site execution, in alignment with the respective group, BA, divisional and regional policies
  • Introducing local division / site-wide standards and guidelines, standardized processes, and KPIs, being accountable for site risk management, validating and improving reliability and effectiveness of after sales site executions
  • Having complete knowledge of service requirements for gas analyzers and chromatograph, handling customer site independently for service requirements like commissioning, AMC, shutdown and emergency maintenance, telephonic support and training
  • Having thorough knowledge of analyzer shelters and cabinets, possessing adequate knowledge to commission, troubleshoot and service the analyzer systems.
  • Planning and scheduling of activities for ensuring maximum output within less time, planning for self-training well in advance for various products and solutions offered, seeking factory and SIU support as and when required to complete the activities
  • Keeping proper records for the activities done and ensure service billing on regular basis, pushing for ABB service portfolio and support sales in getting service orders and working knowledge of various analyzer software
  • Engaging with factory / SIU from engineering stage and be present for Pre-FAT, FAT, SAT, and other activities and undertaking training for customers and partners as required

Your background

  • Degree / Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in Analytical service, good knowledge and understanding of ABB Analytical product portfolio
  • Ability to work with multinational and multi-cultural team based globally
  • Fluency in English language is mandatory
