We are looking for a Service Technician, who will be responsible for the repair and maintenance work of MacGregor product range, plus foreign maker cargo access and other related equipment. Tasks will include applying mechanical theory and related knowledge to test and modify operational machinery and equipment.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Main objective is to carry out efficient maintenance and repairs, thus maintaining customer confidence in MacGregor.

• Independent working methods
• Awareness of the profitability of the Branch
• Continuous development of own skills
• Carrying out of day to day activities as specified
• Carrying out planned and corrective maintenance/repairs, including onboard inspections of equipment according to MacGregor Service Operating Principles Manual
• Providing information and writing reports as required
• Carrying out port sales
• Job management of subcontractors
• Decision making of commercial matters within prescribed limits for each project, previously agreed with the Service Manager.

What you’ll need to succeed

• University degree (BSc), technical degree or equivalent
• 1+ years direct experience as a technician in marine business or similar equipment
• Proficiency in PC based word processing and spreadsheets
• Ability to comprehend, speak and write the English language
• MacGregor MSS Service
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to interface with all levels of staff
• Demonstrated initiative to visualize, organize, manage and complete projects in individual and group settings
• Driver’s license
• Ability to work overtime, as well as on weekends or on call duty; excessive overnight travel required
• Ability to multi-task, while completing work in a competent and professional manner.
