The Solution Architect is responsible for the design and development of the information technology solutions and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements to ensure they are in line with the enterprise architectural plan.

Job Description:

• Facilitate discussions with both business and technical stakeholders to extract critical business requirements and present a technical vision & solution that meet project needs.
• Provide input to the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximize the return on technology investment
• Within the agreed enterprise architecture, define and design technology solutions to assist the business in meeting their business objectives
• Expertise in BSS/OSS solution design in an Operating Company.
• Experience in solution design for mobile money implementations
• Experience in vendor selection through RFPs/RFQs for IT implementations.
• Strategic business acumen and understanding of organisation strategy and ability to design information systems to delivery that strategy
• Deliver fit for purpose (within the company enterprise architecture), simple and effective solutions.
• Deliver assessments and solution design as per agreed time to market targets for projects delivery
• Team player spirit, easily integrate with cross function teams, using strong communication skills to Influence other with proposed solutions

Desired Skills and Experience

• Minimum 5 years of IT Industry experience – strong technical understanding of the telecom systems, architecture, and solutions.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a professional senior technical role as E2E Solution Architect in Telco, System Integrator, Technical lead, Team lead, Architect or Consultancy
• Able to define and document high-level solution and system architectures and explain how various components of the architecture will interact.
• Able to estimate the level of effort and duration for entire projects
• Experience of developing Services Orientated Architectures (SOA)
• Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture methodologies such as TOGAF or the equivalent
• Implementation experience of Mobile Payment solution as E2E Solution architect with strong knowledge of standards and best practices related to Payment Solutions (e.g. PCI DSS, ISO 20022, GSMA Mobile Money certifications etc) is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts and solutions to different stakeholders.
• Strong conceptual and analytical skills – demonstrating outside-the-box problem solving skills.
