Technical Assistant

Role Purpose

  • Responsible for data collection and analysis, and technical & business coordination internally within the Islands Region and externally within other departments, PMCs, and Contractors.

Key Responsibilities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

The candidate should provide both technical and administrative support for the business and the Islands Region. Apart from assisting the executive management in their daily activities, the candidate should be able to perform the following duties: –

  • Manage and coordinate technical and business data collection
  • Facilitate data analysis and suggest potential focus areas
  • Provide constant administration support in all aspect related to the office management work.
  • Resolve customer problems daily
  • Handle incoming correspondence, including emails and mails
  • Create a log to track office inventory like managing vendor contracts, coordinating deliveries and ordering supplies
  • Preform and create all presentations, letters, emails, and media software programs
  • Track KPI’s and war room weekly update
  • Conduct industry-specific research, organize files and draft supporting documents for conferences and meetings
  • Create reports, maintain records, and document paperwork, including inventory logs, delivery records, time sheets and various agreements and contracts
  • Prepare correspondence to delegate technical tasks to other employees
  • Provide efficient assistance to internal and external customers
  • Liaison between different departments to relay business-related information
  • Communicate and interact effectively with all stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong quantitative skills (math, statistics, etc.).
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to teach/train others is important
  • Skilled writer and communicator
  • Skilled at developing and presenting presentations.
  • Knowledge of various data visualization techniques.
  • Team player with ability to lead a multinational, multi-dimensional organization
  • English proficiency, Arabic is a plus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, Statistics, IT, Construction Management, or some other quantitative analysis)
  • 2–5 years’ experience in industry; knowledge of or experience in software development life cycle is ideal.
  • Understanding in the application of Project Processes and Procedures including Cost, Schedule, Risk Management, and Change Management.
  • Understanding in the use of Project and Program Management software tools (P6, SAP…)
  • PMP certification and other additional certifications in Risk, Cost, Planning, Contract Management are a plus
